New: Camera Effects SDK

For builders using our SDKs to create completely customized video call experiences, we’ve just released an exciting addition. You can now use our Whereby Camera Effects SDK to apply real-time visual effects to camera streams in your Whereby Embedded calls.

Use our pre-defined images and videos including blur options and distraction-free backgrounds within your video calls to give your users an even better video call experience.

How do I use it?

The Camera Effects SDK is designed to be used alongside other Whereby SDKs including the React Hooks browser SDK or Whereby Core SDK.

To access the camera effects, install the @whereby.com/camera-effects package from the public npm registry.

The Camera Effects SDK is intended for browser environments and requires access to modern browser APIs.
